Denver Broncos Set for Trip to New York to Face Bills in First Playoff Game Since the 2015 Season Next Sunday

Denver Broncos Return to Playoffs with Rookie QB Bo Nix

Denver, CO – The Denver Broncos, driven by rookie quarterback Bo Nix, are gearing up for a highly anticipated playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bills in upstate New York. This marks the Broncos’ first postseason appearance since their Super Bowl victory in 2015, a feat achieved with legends Peyton Manning and Von Miller. “The fans deserve it; it’s been a long time coming,” remarked Nix following the team’s recent success.

The NFL’s Wild Card Weekend schedule was unveiled after the Broncos delivered a dominant 38-0 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The playoff game is set for 11 a.m. Mountain Time at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, broadcast on CBS and Paramount+. Surprising many, the Broncos exceeded low expectations with a commendable 10-7 regular season, although they did not face the Bills during the season. The Bills, led by star quarterback Josh Allen, secured the No. 2 seed in the AFC with a 13-4 record.

Denver previously battled the Bills on November 13, 2023, and emerged victorious in a thrilling 24-22 game on Monday Night Football. According to CBS Sports rankings, the Broncos are positioned at No. 12 among the 14 playoff teams, with analysts noting Nix’s dual-threat capabilities and the team’s strong defense, which can mitigate offensive inconsistencies. In contrast, CBS ranked Buffalo as No. 5, highlighting Allen’s dominant presence on the field.

After a 3,255-day playoff drought—the longest for any Super Bowl champion—the Broncos are eager to meet the challenge posed by their former linebacker and current Bills star Von Miller. Head coach Sean Payton expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming game, signaling the team’s readiness to compete at the highest level once again.
