Two Oregon men perish while on the hunt for Bigfoot in a Washington forest

Two Portland men, aged 59 and 37, went missing on Christmas Eve while searching for Sasquatch in a Washington state forest, and were found dead in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest on Christmas Day. The Skamania County Sheriff’s Office determined that the cause of their deaths was exposure, as they were ill-prepared for the harsh weather conditions. The men were reported missing by a family member when they did not return home as planned. A search involving 60 volunteer search-and-rescue personnel was conducted over three days in difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions, ultimately locating the deceased men. The volunteers utilized camera recordings and infrared technology from the Coast Guard in their efforts. The sheriff’s office extended sympathies to the families of the men lost in the tragic incident, and commended the volunteers for their efforts during the holiday season. Zach Urness, an outdoors reporter in Oregon, covered the story and can be reached for support or contact. The incident serves as a reminder of the dangers posed by extreme outdoor conditions and the importance of being properly prepared for such excursions.
