Colorado voters have returned over 1 million completed ballots for the Nov. 5 election, with Democrats holding a slight edge over registered Republicans. Unaffiliated voters make up the largest group of voters who have submitted their ballots so far. Voter turnout rates among Republicans, Democrats, and unaffiliated voters are 32.2%, 31.3%, and 21.2% respectively. This year’s ballot returns are lower compared to the 2020 election at the same point, with more ballots from older voters compared to younger ones. El Paso County leads in the number of ballots received, while San Juan County lags behind. Monday marked the last day to submit voter registration applications and ballots through mail. In-person registration is available at polling and voter service centers up to Election Day. State election officials advise voters to use drop-off locations to ensure their ballots reach the clerk’s office on time.
