The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Sperbeck was injured after falling from a golf cart on Saturday. Local firefighters responded to the scene after receiving reports of an accident, finding Elway in distress, urgently seeking help.
Witness Ali Simon recounted the chaotic scene, noting that Elway appeared frantic as he attempted to call 911 while others surrounded Sperbeck to ensure his safety. Despite immediate medical attention, Sperbeck succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on Wednesday at Desert Regional Medical Center.
