The fence enclosing West Main Taproom Grill in Parker has been taken down.

After a land dispute, the fence surrounding the West Main Taproom and Grill in Parker, Colorado has been removed. The metal barrier, installed by the property manager of Parker Mainstreet Partners, had cut off the building from a promenade connected to the property, impacting the restaurant’s business. Restaurant owner Pam Briere expressed relief at the news of the fence’s removal, following pressure from media coverage. The dispute stemmed from a disagreement between Parker Mainstreet Partners and the new owner of the Parker Hotel, Eagle Point Hotel Partners, over payment for the promenade.

Initially, Parker Mainstreet Partners requested $650,000 from Eagle Point Hotel Partners to cover the cost of the promenade and monthly maintenance fees. However, a bankruptcy by the previous hotel owner complicated the situation, leading to the fence being erected. After Denver7 Investigates highlighted the issue, the Town of Parker got involved, issuing a summons and complaint to Trevey Commercial Real Estate, the property manager. The fence was eventually moved back and then fully removed.

In response to the situation, Trevey Commercial Real Estate released a statement indicating that they were stepping away from representing the property containing the promenade due to the ongoing dispute. They recommended the immediate removal of the fence to ensure legal access to the plaza area for the success of the restaurant. The property manager also emphasized their longstanding reputation in the community and expressed regret for being caught in the crossfire of the dispute. The removal of the fence marks a step towards resolution for all parties involved.
