Two stolen English Bulldog puppies had a half happy ending as one was returned by a woman who purchased it from a street vendor in Denver for $1,500. The brown and white spotted puppy is now safe at the Perfect Pets store after being stolen by three men who were captured on surveillance cameras. One man was arrested and is currently facing charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, theft, and drug possession. The puppies, which were for sale for $4,299 each, were taken in what appeared to be a criminal operation. The store owners plan to reward the woman who returned the puppy, although she has declined interviews. The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for the remaining suspects involved in the theft. The thieves spent about half an hour casing the store before one of them faked a seizure to distract employees while the puppy was taken. A chaotic scene unfolded as one suspect tripped over a store clerk, kicked her in the face, dropped a puppy, and then grabbed it again before fleeing in a gold Cadillac Escalade with no license plates. If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of the stolen puppies or the remaining suspects, they are encouraged to call the Arapahoe County Sheriff Investigations Tipline. Overall, the return of one puppy has brought a glimmer of hope in an otherwise disturbing theft.
