Atlanta Diner Hosts Fashion Show for MLS 2025 Kits

Major League Soccer (MLS) celebrated its 30th season with a unique fashion show unveiling its new kits in collaboration with Adidas at The Majestic, an Atlanta-area diner. The event showcased models in redesigned kits that looked nothing like the traditional athletic wear one would expect from a soccer league. Some designs, like TFC’s red home kit turned into a dress, and San Diego FC’s deconstructed kit blended with a puffer jacket, left audiences puzzled about the artistic direction of the new uniforms.

The fashion show, reminiscent of a high-end runway event, featured models walking past the counter of the diner in avant-garde designs that may have left some spectators perplexed. Despite the subjective nature of fashion, the event highlighted a departure from the typical soccer kit designs seen in MLS. The kits were altered in unconventional ways, such as turning Charlotte FC’s kit into a garment resembling the Seinfeld “puffy shirt” mixed with Revolutionary War aesthetics.

The climax of the show was a two-minute silent handshake between two models sporting Revolution and Earthquakes kits, while other models remained motionless. This creative presentation was part of Adidas and Soccerbible’s “On a Plate” series, with upcoming events scheduled in Los Angeles, New York, Miami, and Austin. The show was a departure from the traditional kit reveals seen in previous years, aiming to bring a fresh and innovative approach to MLS fashion.
