The Denver Gazette is now accepting event information for their calendar at least two weeks in advance. Some of the events happening in the Denver area include a painting class at Sipping N’ Painting Hampden, a concert by Lo Moon at the Marquis Theater, and a comedy show at Comedy Works Downtown. Additionally, there will be a performance by the Graduate Woodwind Quintet – Juniper Winds at Grusin Music Hall in Boulder, and a concert by Marty Friedman at HQ in Denver.
In terms of art exhibits, MCA Denver is showcasing “Heart Strings” by Lilian Lara and MCA Denver teens until February 2nd. The Denver Art Museum is displaying “Dawoud Bey: Street Portraits” until May 11th, while the History Colorado Center has “De la Tierra: Reflections of Place in the Upper Río Grande” on display until May 23rd. The Denver Botanic Gardens is hosting “Seeds of Inspiration” until May 26th, and the Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art is featuring “Vanity & Vice: American Art Deco” until June 1st. Lastly, the Denver Art Museum is hosting “SUSTAINED! The Persistent Genius of Indigenous Art” until December 31st.
