Colorado Dog Breeder’s Death: Man Charged with Murder and Theft

A man has been charged with multiple counts, including first-degree murder, in the killing of Colorado dog breeder Paul Peavey. Peavey, who bred and sold Doberman puppies, went missing in August 2024, and his body was found in a shallow grave on his property. Investigators revealed that Peavey suffered multiple gunshot wounds and significant head trauma. The stolen Doberman puppies were a key part of the case. Sergio Ferrer was officially charged with first-degree murder, felony murder, aggravated robbery, tampering with a deceased body, second-degree burglary, and theft.
