President Trump took sweeping actions on his first full day in office, including shutting down executive branch diversity, equity, and inclusion offices. He also revoked Secret Service protection for former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton and announced private sector investments of up to $500 million in artificial intelligence infrastructure. Law enforcement groups criticized Trump’s pardons for those involved in the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, while he is set to address world leaders at the World Economic Forum. Senator Sanders defended Tulsi Gabbard, Trump’s pick for director of national intelligence, and Trump signed an order ending FAA diversity hiring practices. Additionally, Trump revoked a 1965 civil rights executive order and reshuffled Justice Department officials to advance his immigration agenda. He also pardoned the founder of Silk Road and announced a private sector investment of $500 billion in AI infrastructure. Today, Trump is set to have an interview with Fox News and meet with centrist Republicans.
