Bull riding steals the spotlight at the National Western Stock Show

The 119th annual National Western Stock Show is currently taking place in Denver, showcasing nearly 20 breeds of cattle and featuring the popular and dangerous event of bull riding. Oklahoma native Wyatt Rogers, currently ranked 44th in the world, has been living out his childhood dream of being a bull rider and recently wrapped up his 10th appearance at the event. He describes bull riding as a “dance” where the bull leads, highlighting the athleticism of both the riders and the bulls themselves.

Stock contractor Ty Rinaldo, who raises bulls at his ranch in Larkspur, treats his bulls like family, emphasizing their athleticism and dedication to their work, despite only competing for a few minutes each year. The bulls typically start bucking around 2 years old and can compete until age 10 or longer. Rinaldo expressed his gratitude for the bulls’ hard work and dedication.

The National Western Stock Show will run until January 26th, offering attendees the chance to witness the thrilling spectacle of bull riding and the incredible bond between the riders and their bulls. The event is known for being the “Super Bowl of livestock shows” and attracts participants and spectators from around the country. Don’t miss the opportunity to see these remarkable athletes in action at this year’s National Western Stock Show in Denver.
