Trump’s Day 1 Agenda Includes 200 Executive Orders

Tech titans Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg are among the guests invited by Donald Trump to attend his inauguration. The invitation extends to Shou Chew, the head of Chinese social media giant TikTok, reflecting Trump’s efforts to bolster ties with the tech industry. Trump’s campaign benefitted from social media platforms like TikTok, Musk’s X, and Zuckerberg’s Facebook and Instagram.

Interestingly, outgoing President Joe Biden will attend the ceremony, showing a willingness to uphold tradition despite Trump’s refusal to attend Biden’s inauguration in 2020. Former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama will also be in attendance, along with their wives, excluding Michelle Obama.

In a departure from tradition, Trump has extended invitations to foreign leaders such as far-right Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who has confirmed her attendance. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Argentine President Javier Milei, and Chinese President Xi Jinping were also invited, with Xi opting to send Vice President Han Zheng in his place. Zheng met with J.D. Vance from the transition office on Sunday.

Overall, Trump’s inauguration guest list reflects his continued efforts to build relationships with tech leaders and forge alliances with like-minded foreign leaders, despite the unconventional nature of some of the invitations.
