Top tech billionaires and world leaders attended Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington DC, including Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. Musk, a vocal supporter of Trump, will be leading an “efficiency” department in the new government. During his speech, Musk expressed his ambition to plant the US flag on Mars. Other tech titans such as Tim Cook and Sundar Pichai were also in attendance. Apple chief executive Tim Cook and Tesla boss Elon Musk were seen chatting before the ceremony. Meanwhile, TikTok’s Zhang Yiming hoped to get a reprieve from a US ban. Foreign leaders like Argentina’s Javier Milei and Italy’s Giorgia Meloni were present, with Xi Jinping declining the invitation. Dana White, UFC boss, was there to support Trump, along with influencers Jake and Logan Paul. Former presidents and other political figures, such as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, watched the ceremony. Nigel Farage, Boris Johnson, and Rupert Murdoch were also present at the event. However, an awkward moment occurred when Donald Trump tried to kiss his wife Melania but was blocked by her hat. Despite the star-studded guest list, the inauguration included controversial statements by Trump about immigration and oil drilling.
