Former Chiropractor Sentenced to Jail After Sexual Assault Conviction in Fort Collins
Former chiropractor Brian Rohrick has been sentenced to 60 days in jail and will register as a sex offender after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting multiple clients and staff members. The plea agreement came following allegations from nearly ten women, accusing Rohrick of abuse over the last decade at his Peak Performance clinic in Fort Collins.
One of the victims, Cassiopeia Camara, bravely shared her experience with CBS News Colorado, stating her ordeal began after an auto accident nearly ten years ago. Initially seeking treatment, Camara described a disturbing incident where Rohrick requested she wear a gown backward and then sexually assaulted her during a supposed adjustment. “I knew something was wrong in the moment,” she recounted, expressing feelings of confusion and gaslighting thereafter.
Camara confided in trusted friends and reported her experience to clinic managers, but felt her concerns were downplayed. This experience significantly impacted her life, leading to distrust of men and avoidance of medical care from male practitioners—a situation she endured for nearly ten years.
The investigation into Rohrick was reignited in 2023 when Fort Collins Police received another sexual assault report against him. Their outreach encouraged other victims to come forward. Upon hearing of the investigation, Camara experienced a whirlwind of emotions, including relief in knowing she wasn’t alone.
In court, Rohrick received a pointed admonition from Judge Sarah Cure for exploiting his professional role to fulfill his desires, leaving her questioning his remorse. Following a brief apology, he chose to serve a straight 60-day jail sentence. Camara found empowerment in speaking for those who couldn’t, hopeful that her story would inspire others to seek justice against abuse.
