Colorado Senate Republicans have outlined a package of reforms aimed at bolstering affordability in the state by repealing more than a dozen laws. On the Democratic side, Senate Majority Leader Robert Rodriguez emphasized the need for affordability but also pointed out the potential consequences of cutting certain fees, such as affecting transportation funding and Coloradans’ ability to pay for necessities like heat. Governor Jared Polis has expressed support for regulatory reform and reducing burdensome regulations that could save money for Coloradans without compromising important programs.
