Tehran boosts its arsenal with 1,000 strategic drones in response to increased tensions with US and Israel

Iran’s military has recently added 1,000 “strategic drones” to its fleet, as tensions with the US and Israel continue to escalate. The drones, equipped with stealth and anti-fortification capabilities, were showcased on state TV in an unknown location. Iranian Defence Minister General Aziz Nasirzadeh and army commander-in-chief General Abdul Rahim Mousavi were present to review the UAVs.

Concerns have been mounting over potential attacks on Iran’s nuclear sites, prompting the delivery of drones to various locations throughout the country. With a range of over 2,000 kilometres, these drones possess high destructive power and can navigate through defense layers with minimal radar detection. Their autonomous features allow for increased reconnaissance and border monitoring, ultimately enhancing their combat capabilities.

In response to these developments, Iran recently conducted air defense drills near its key nuclear facilities, Natanz and Fordo. The addition of these strategic drones to Iran’s military arsenal further underscores the country’s commitment to bolstering its defensive capabilities in light of ongoing regional tensions.

As the situation in the region remains volatile, the deployment of these advanced drones serves as a clear indication of Iran’s readiness to defend its national security interests. With the potential to significantly impact the dynamic of future conflicts, the strategic drones represent a formidable asset in Iran’s military strategy moving forward.
