Charlie Woods, the 15-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, stole the show at the PNC Championship in Orlando, Florida by hitting his first-ever hole-in-one. The event sees professional golfer parents team up with their children in a two-round scramble tournament. Charlie used a 7-iron on the 175-yard par-3 fourth hole and asked for the ball to cut, which it did beautifully before smoothly rolling into the hole. The crowd erupted in cheers, and Charlie was in disbelief until his father, Tiger Woods, embraced him in celebration. This hole-in-one also momentarily put Team Woods in the lead. Charlie expressed his excitement on the Golf Channel broadcast and joked about being “broke” when Tiger mentioned the tradition of buying drinks for everyone after hitting a hole-in-one.
The magic continued at the tournament when Paddy Harrington, son of Irish golfer Padraig Harrington, hit his first-ever hole-in-one on the par-3 eighth hole. This led to another loud celebration and put Team Harrington just a few shots off the lead. Both father and son expressed their excitement and joy at the achievement.
The final round of the PNC Championship was scheduled to conclude later on the same day. Overall, the tournament showcased some impressive skills and magical moments from the young players, proving that talent runs in the families of these golf legends.
