Press Release: Search Underway for Missing 14-Year-Old Indigenous Girl in Calhan, Colorado
CALHAN, Colo. — The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), along with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, has issued an urgent alert for a missing 14-year-old Indigenous girl, Natalie Battersy, who has a developmental disability.
Natalie was last seen on Thursday night between 10 and 11 p.m., in the vicinity of 5th St. between Golden and Boulder Streets in Calhan. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing distinctive clothing—a black and white sports jacket paired with shiny black sweatpants—along with glasses and headphones.
Described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown hair, brown eyes, and weighing approximately 188 pounds, Natalie is affiliated with the Cherokee and Apache Nations. Her disappearance has raised significant concerns in the community, prompting a call for assistance.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen Natalie or has any information regarding her whereabouts to act swiftly and contact law enforcement. Individuals can reach the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office at 719-390-5555 or dial 911 immediately if they have tips.
