X-MANHUNT, the highly anticipated X-Men crossover event, is set to debut in March. Featuring chapters in various X-Men titles, the storyline will bring together the different mutant factions as Professor X breaks out of Graymalkin Prison, causing chaos and division among the mutants.
The saga begins with Professor X escaping captivity to pursue a mysterious mission, while also dealing with a telepathic virus that threatens his mind and those around him. As the hunt for the most dangerous mutant in the world ensues, Professor X calls on his X-Men for help, leading to conflicts among the team members.
Executive Editor Tom Brevoort noted that the X-characters have been kept separate as they established the post-Krakoa landscape, but now is the right time to bring them together. With Professor X as the instigator of the chaos, the crossover event promises to explore the tarnished legacy of the X-Men’s founder.
The storyline will unfold in various titles, including UNCANNY X-MEN, NYX, STORM, X-MEN, X-FACTOR, and X-FORCE, before culminating in X-MANHUNT OMEGA, a double-sized finale one-shot. Fans can expect a thrilling and action-packed adventure as the X-Men face their most challenging mission yet.
