New Attorneys Assigned and Court Dates Set in Aurora Dentist Murder Case

Aurora Dentist’s Murder Trial Delayed After Attorney Withdraws

Aurora, CO – The highly publicized murder trial of James Craig, an Aurora dentist accused of poisoning his wife, has been postponed following the sudden withdrawal of his attorney just before jury selection. Denver-based attorney Harvey Steinberg quit on November 21, leaving the 46-year-old Craig without legal representation on what was scheduled to be the first day of his trial.

In a recent hearing, two new lawyers from Arapahoe County’s LFM Defense—Lisa Fine Moses and Rob Gerald Werking—were appointed to take over Craig’s defense. According to Eric Ross, spokesperson for the 18th Judicial District, Craig is scheduled to make his next court appearance on February 14, where new charges against him will be addressed. Specific dates for the rescheduled trial have yet to be determined and will likely be set following the February hearing.

The case has garnered significant media attention due to the serious nature of the allegations against Craig, including a shocking claim that he solicited the murder of a detective involved in the investigation. As the legal proceedings unfold, the courtroom drama surrounding this case continues to grip the community.

With the new legal team now in place, Craig faces a challenging road ahead as he prepares to respond to the allegations while navigating his newly set court dates. As the saga continues, both the legal community and observers will be keenly watching for developments in this troubling case.
