Motorcyclists Unite for 39th Annual Children’s Hospital Colorado Toy Run

AURORA, Colo. — This past Sunday, the spirit of giving came alive as over 2,000 motorcyclists gathered at Aurora Sports Park for the 39th Annual Children’s Hospital Colorado Toy Run. Participants donned festive attire, including Santa hats and reindeer onesies, as they attached unwrapped toys to their bikes, ready to deliver joy to young patients.

Bob Cuculich, a dedicated volunteer and motorcycle enthusiast, expressed the emotional impact of the event, stating, “To see the kids’ faces when they see the motorcycles coming up is exciting enough.” With 12 years of volunteering experience and his 18th toy run, Cuculich shared that the sight of smiling children leaves him with tears of joy.

Entry to the event required just one unwrapped toy per participant, showcasing the collective effort to support the community. Scott O’Sullivan, founder and leader of Rider Justice, emphasized the significance of the toy run, saying, “For us, it’s just another way to give back…It encapsulates Christmas and the holiday season, giving you that warm feeling.”

Organizers reported a tremendous success, collecting thousands of toys, which will bring smiles to hospital patients throughout the year. The event not only spreads holiday cheer but also fosters a profound connection between the biking community and those in need at Children’s Hospital Colorado.

As the motorcycle parade rolled through, the event symbolized the unity and generosity of Coloradans, coming together to make a difference one toy at a time. This longstanding tradition serves as a testament to the community’s commitment to supporting children in challenging times.
