Study on extremism in the Pentagon finds outdated and inaccurate data used in armed forces analysis


A new analysis has revealed that a Pentagon-funded study on extremism in the U.S. military relied on old data and underplayed the extent of the problem. The study, conducted by the Institute for Defense Analyses, concluded that extremism was rare in the armed forces, but the Associated Press found that it ignored newer data and offered a misleading analysis, grossly undercounting the number of military and veterans arrested for the Jan. 6 attack.

Meanwhile, incoming President Trump reportedly plans to sign an executive order removing thousands of trans service members from the military, a policy he previously implemented in 2019 but was reversed by Biden.

In Columbus, OH, body camera footage shows locals fighting back when a small group of neo-Nazis marched through the city, with the neo-Nazis ultimately giving up their display due to being pepper-sprayed by the locals. Despite carrying weapons, the neo-Nazis were not charged as they were not the aggressors in the conflict.

A Christian Nationalist group plans to build a community in Jackson County, Tennessee, based on their extremist beliefs, which have been compared to those of neo-Nazis and white supremacists. The group dresses up their controversial views with intellectual buzzwords and calls it Christian.
