The 47th Denver Film Festival is set to kick off with a bang this year, featuring a new red carpet venue at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver’s Holiday Theater. The festival, running from Nov. 1-10, will showcase 185 narrative features, shorts, and documentaries, including Colorado premieres of films such as “The Piano Lesson” and “The Brutalist.” A star-studded lineup of guests including Patricia Clarkson, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson will grace the event.
Tickets go on sale to members on Oct. 3 and to the public on Oct. 4 at denverfilm.org/denverfilmfestival. The festival will offer parties, panels, workshops, and a gala in addition to screenings. Opening and closing night red carpet events will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver’s Holiday Theater, with the Centerpiece presentation of “The Order” at the Ellie.
Notable premieres include “The Brutalist,” “Better Man,” “The Room Next Door,” and “Nightbitch” starring Amy Adams. Celebrities such as Patricia Clarkson, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, and Jesse Tyler Ferguson will receive awards and participate in screenings throughout the festival.
Directors RaMell Ross, Jason Reitman, Nnamdi Asomugha, and Cristiana Dell’Anna will also be in attendance. The Sie FilmCenter will serve as the festival anchor, with additional screenings at various venues around Denver.
