Local Holiday Events Light Up Denver Area This December

Denver, CO – The holiday season is in full swing in the Denver area, with a variety of festive events scheduled for locals and visitors alike this weekend. Families can meet Santa Claus at the ARC South Park Store from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, while those looking for a bit of mischief can snap photos with the Grinch at the Orchard Town Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For those seeking entertainment, “Santa’s Circus” will take place at The Schoolhouse in Parker with performances at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., starting at $59. Comedy fans won’t want to miss Vinnie Montez at Comedy Works South at the Landmark at 6 p.m., with tickets priced at $25-$30.

Community events are also on the agenda; the Olde Town Arvada Tree Lighting will feature pop-up markets leading up to the lighting at 6 p.m., while the Colfax Avenue Holiday Tree Lighting will bring live music and treats from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Denver. Additionally, music lovers can join “Dashing Thru LoDo” for a festive celebration at Union Station from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The laughter continues with stand-up comedian Sam Tallent performing twice on Saturday at Comedy Works Downtown, alongside a "Battle of the Bands" event at the Mercury Café. For an energetic night out, LP Giobbi will perform at Mission Ballroom at 8 p.m. The Belleview Station Holiday Bazaar will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., offering unique gifts and holiday cheer.

For a magical ballet experience, catch "Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet" at the Paramount Theatre on November 30 and December 1. Lastly, families can enjoy "Breakfast with Santa" at The Brown Palace Hotel every Saturday through December 21.
