Denver Gears Up for Festive Events this Holiday Season
Denver’s vibrant event calendar is bustling with excitement this week, particularly with the official launch of Winter Wanderland in Cherry Creek North. From 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, the neighborhood will sparkle with a dazzling display of one million lights, transforming the area into a winter wonderland. This festive kickoff event will take place at Fillmore Plaza, located between 1st and 2nd Avenues.
Thursday night is packed with entertainment options for all tastebuds. For music enthusiasts, Swallow Hill Music will host Martin and Steve Gilmore at 7 p.m. and Don Toliver will take the stage at Ball Arena at 7:30 p.m. For those who enjoy local bands, Alura will perform at The Black Buzzard, while Bernzikial will be featured at Larimer Lounge, both starting at 8 p.m. The night will culminate with Clint Dadian & Vlad Girshevich at the renowned El Chapultepec Piano Lounge at 10:30 p.m.
The festivities continue through Friday with Amigo the Devil performing at Ogden Theatre at 8 p.m. Additionally, the "GloWing" exhibition at the Savoy Denver runs until December 8, and Winter Wanderland will remain open through December 24, enhancing the neighborhood with twinkling lights and holiday markets.
Supporters of charity can also make a difference by using the Giving Machines located at Fillmore Plaza, allowing donations to various causes.
