The Denver Broncos made some roster moves ahead of their Thursday night game against the New Orleans Saints. They activated right tackle Mike McGlinchey, outside linebacker Baron Browning, and cornerback Damarri Mathis off injured reserve, adding experienced players to their lineup. McGlinchey and Browning spent the minimum four weeks on injured reserve, while Mathis has been out since late August. The team also waived rookie running back Blake Watson and hopes to sign him back to the practice squad if he clears waivers. Safety Tanner McCalister was officially signed back to the practice squad.
Additionally, the Broncos elevated inside linebacker Kwon Alexander and offensive lineman Calvin Throckmorton from the practice squad for the game against the Saints. Both players bring veteran experience and have previously played for New Orleans. Throckmorton has been elevated for the second straight game due to an injury to center Luke Wattenberg, while it is the first time for Alexander, who was signed to the practice squad in Week 4 after another player’s season-ending knee injury.
This series of moves adds depth and experience to the Broncos’ roster as they face the Saints. Fans can stay updated on all Broncos news by signing up for the Broncos Insider for in-depth NFL analysis.
