A man suspected in a hit-and-run crash on C-470 was found hiding in the back of a pickup truck in Highlands Ranch. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado State Patrol were involved in the search for the driver who fled the scene after crashing a stolen vehicle on C-470. A homeowner called 911 to report a suspicious person matching the description of the driver knocking on doors in the area. Deputies located the man in the back of a pickup truck in a driveway, which he did not have permission to be in. The man was arrested for trespass and obstruction of a peace officer, as well as having two felony warrants out of other counties.
