One fatality reported in RiNo district commercial structure fire in Denver

One person was tragically killed in a fire that broke out in Denver’s River North district on Tuesday morning. The Denver Fire Department initially reported no injuries but later confirmed the fatality. The cause of the fire is now under investigation by arson investigators and fire marshals. The location of the fire, near 36th Street and Wazee Streets, includes several apartment buildings and businesses such as Bigsby’s Folly Craft Winery and Restaurant, Pesto Italiano, and the RiNo Sports Arena.

While arson investigators are on the scene, it is important to note that their presence does not necessarily indicate that the fire was intentionally set. DFD spokesman stated that arson investigators typically respond to most structure fires to determine the cause. This tragic incident has left the community in shock as they come to terms with the loss of life and the damage caused by the fire.
