Colorado-based company FarmBox Foods LLC has partnered with New A.G.E, a veteran-owned technology company, to distribute its container farms around the world. These container farms are converted storage units that operate as standalone hydroponic farms, utilizing low power and limited water to grow nutrient-rich produce. The collaboration between FarmBox Foods and New A.G.E aims to place container farms at 450 locations globally, ultimately producing around 100 million servings of food for underserved communities.
FarmBox Foods CEO Rusty Walker expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that the technology has the potential to bring positive change. Additionally, FarmBox Foods plans to work with other companies within New A.G.E’s portfolio to create “agrihoods,” which are farm-to-table communities centered around sustainability.
The leaders of FarmBox Foods and New A.G.E recently met with public and private sector leaders in New York City during UN Climate Week to discuss their innovative approach to providing fresh produce to communities worldwide. This partnership signifies a step towards a more sustainable and health-conscious future, highlighting the impact that technology and collaboration can have on global issues. With their innovative container farming technology, FarmBox Foods and New A.G.E are making a significant contribution to improving the quality of life and access to healthy food in communities around the world.
