Hezbollah has launched dozens of rockets at Israel’s Ramat David Airbase in response to Israeli attacks that killed civilians in Lebanon. The far-reaching attack is the first of its kind since 2006, with rockets reaching up to 50km from Lebanon. There have been no reports of casualties in Israel, despite 10 rockets being launched from Lebanon. This comes after a series of Israeli attacks across Lebanon, including explosions in wireless communication devices and an air strike in Beirut that killed 38 people, including a senior Hezbollah commander.
Hezbollah has vowed to continue attacking Israeli bases in the north until Israel ends its offensive in Gaza. The ongoing clashes have displaced tens of thousands of people on both sides of the border, with the situation escalating towards a major conflict. Hezbollah insists it is not seeking a war but is prepared for one if needed, while Israeli leaders have promised to push Hezbollah off the border through any means necessary. The violence between the two sides shows no signs of abating, with both parties ready for further escalations in the conflict.
