Denver Chef Dana Rodriguez has come a long way since immigrating from Mexico to Colorado in 1998. Starting as a dishwasher at Panzano, she quickly worked her way up the ranks, eventually becoming a sous chef at the upscale Italian restaurant. Throughout her career, Rodriguez has had the opportunity to work with some of the best chefs in Denver, learning and honing her skills along the way.
Rodriguez’s hard work and dedication have paid off, as she has been a part of opening several successful restaurants in Denver, including Rioja, Work & Class, Cantina Loca, Super Mega Bien, and Casa Bonita. Most recently, she has opened Carne, a global steakhouse in the RiNo neighborhood. For Rodriguez, the joy of creating different dishes and seeing the happiness on people’s faces when they try her food is what drives her passion for culinary arts.
Reflecting on her journey, Rodriguez emphasizes the importance of perseverance and following one’s dreams. She hopes to inspire others in her community and beyond by showing that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
