Large wildfires in the West are causing dangerous air quality in Nevada and California. The Davis Fire and three other blazes in California are contributing to some of the worst air quality in the region. Mesquite, Nevada and Scenic, Arizona are experiencing very unhealthy air quality, with an air quality index of 225 in Mesquite. Other areas, such as Reno and Boulder City, are also reporting unhealthy air quality levels. Las Vegas has an air quality index ranging between 130 and 170, which is considered unhealthy. The fires in Southern California have made conditions even worse, with ash falling from the sky in some areas. Residents are advised to monitor air quality levels and take precautions to protect their health.
