Children’s Hospital Colorado has recently opened a new pediatric urgent care center in southeast Aurora, offering a range of services specifically designed for children. The facility aims to provide a lower-cost alternative to emergency departments and work closely with primary care physicians in the area. Since opening in late August, the center has seen a significant increase in patients, highlighting the community’s need for accessible pediatric care.
With 20 different pediatric specialties, including radiology, lab services, and audiology, the almost 40,000-square-foot facility features various exam rooms and clinics, such as orthopedic/rehabilitation and ophthalmology. By focusing on pediatric care, the center aims to create a comfortable environment for children and their families. Additionally, it helps alleviate the strain on local emergency departments by treating non-emergency cases and preventing the spread of more severe illnesses.
Operating Monday through Friday with appointments by referral, the urgent care center is open 365 days a year, including holidays, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. By offering quality pediatric care in a convenient location, Children’s Hospital Colorado’s new facility is making a positive impact on the community’s health care needs.
