National Park Burglary Crash Caused by Reckless Driver in Rocky Mountain

A 23-year-old male is currently at large after recklessly driving through Rocky Mountain National Park late Sunday. The suspect sped through the Grand Lake entrance, failing to yield at the gate, and continued to drive recklessly on US Hwy 34. Law enforcement attempted to pull him over but had to back off due to his high speeds. The suspect then hit another vehicle with three individuals inside, causing critical injuries to one person.

After the collision, the suspect fled on foot towards homes in Estes Park, where law enforcement agencies advised residents to shelter in place. The suspect is described as a white male with a head injury, last seen without a shirt or shoes, and believed to be involved in a felony burglary case in Grand County.

The Park Service is urging anyone who sees the suspect not to approach him but to immediately call 911. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
