Man from Colorado given a 112-year prison sentence for child sexual assault

James Pinker, a man from Weld County, has been sentenced to 112 years in prison for sexually assaulting two young girls. Pinker was convicted of four counts of sexual assault on a child in June and received his sentence on Aug. 30. The victims, who were five years old at the time of the assaults, reported that Pinker had assaulted them while playing a game at a home in Weld County. During the sentencing hearing, a 17-year-old female also came forward to say that Pinker had abused her in the past.

Deputy District Attorney Timothy McCormack stated that Pinker’s actions were heinous and had a lasting impact on the lives of the children he victimized. The sentence reflects the seriousness of his crimes and ensures that he will never have the opportunity to harm another child. Jennifer McRae, a digital media producer for CBS Colorado, reported on the case and highlighted the importance of protecting children in the community.

Pinker’s conviction and sentencing serve as a reminder of the importance of holding perpetrators of child sexual abuse accountable for their actions. The justice system’s response to cases like this one is crucial in ensuring that children are safe from harm and that those responsible for their abuse are punished accordingly.
