Denver man Shawn Von, 30, is currently recovering in the ICU nearly a month after being shot in a possible road rage incident on July 27. The shooting occurred on northbound I-25 and Auraria Parkway, with Denver Police investigating the case. Von’s sister, Jordyn Chames, expressed frustration with the police’s handling of the situation, as the shooter has been questioned and released without any arrests being made.
Von was shot in the neck, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and hit a wall on the exit ramp. Doctors have informed the family that it is uncertain whether Von will ever be able to walk again. Chames described her brother’s traumatic experience and emphasized his innocence and good heart, expressing hope for his recovery.
Denver Police stated that they have been in contact with all parties involved in the incident, but no further information can be provided as the case is still under investigation. Chames emphasized the importance of justice for her brother and has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support his recovery.
The family’s distress and plea for justice highlight the seriousness of road rage incidents and the long-lasting impact they can have on individuals and their loved ones. Supporters are encouraged to donate to the GoFundMe campaign to assist Von in his journey to recovery.
