A Denver teen girl has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at Highland Hollows Park in Aurora last month. The shooting occurred during a party at the park, where a fight broke out, leading to gunshots that left three teenagers injured. Unfortunately, 14-year-old Kamiaya Cleveland succumbed to her injuries, while the other two girls survived. The 17-year-old suspect has been arrested on charges including first-degree murder, attempted murder, assault, and illegal possession of a firearm. The investigation is ongoing, and no other suspects are outstanding at this time. Authorities urge anyone with information about the shooting to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. In light of this tragic incident, the family of the victim is demanding answers and seeking justice. As the suspect is a minor, her identity will only be released if she is charged as an adult. The 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office will handle the formal charges against the teenager. The community is urged to come together to support the victims’ families and prevent such senseless violence in the future.
