A Colorado woman, Molly Murphy, has made history by becoming the first woman to graduate from the U.S. Army Ranger School as an ICU nurse. Coming from a family with a long military legacy, Molly followed in the footsteps of her ancestors and pursued a career in nursing while also participating in the ROTC program. Despite initial concerns from her father, Molly excelled in her studies and went on to serve as a nurse in Hawaii, facing challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic.
After enlisting in the U.S. Army, Molly underwent rigorous training at Ranger School, known for being one of the toughest courses a soldier can volunteer for. She graduated from the program on July 19, marking a significant achievement as the first female ICU nurse to do so.
