Examining Kellyanne Conway’s career and life as she aligns more closely with Trump

Speculation is growing that Donald Trump is considering bringing back his former campaign manager Kellyanne Conway to his team, following a report that some of his family members are pushing for her return. Conway, who served as a senior counselor to Trump, was instrumental in his 2016 victory and may play a key role in his potential reelection bid.

Conway made history by becoming the first woman to oversee a successful U.S. presidential campaign with Trump in 2016. She has a background as a pollster and analyst, specializing in data concerning women and younger voters. Before working with Trump, Conway ran a pro-Ted Cruz super PAC during the 2016 election cycle.

In 2020, Conway announced she was leaving the White House to focus on her family, amid public controversies involving her daughter Claudia and her then-husband George Conway. In her 2022 memoir, Conway was both critical and loyal to Trump, and has also expressed concerns about the Republican party’s ability to attract young voters in future elections.

With President Joe Biden dropping out of the 2024 race, Trump may be shifting his focus to a potential reelection bid, and bringing back Conway could be part of his strategy to regain the presidency. The upcoming election is expected to be closely contested, with Vice President Kamala Harris emerging as a key challenger to Trump.
